Kenneth “Ken’ McDaniel

Mr. McDaniel has been in the Environmental Health and Safety and Risk Management fields for over 35 years. He received an M.S. in Environmental Health & Safety Management from the University of Central Missouri. Mr. McDaniel has been in the private sector as a safety professional covering a vast spectrum in the safety field such as Construction, General Industry, Transportation, Agriculture, and Healthcare. He is currently the President and Owner of Syntax Safety Systems, a safety consulting firm located in the greater Kansas City, Missouri area. In his position, he provides companies of all sizes and types, with safety management services, site safety staffing, and training. Mr. McDaniel has been employed by some of the largest companies in the nation providing Safety leadership. He was Director of Safety for Walton Construction, one of the largest general contractors in the metro area of Kansas City. He was also Director of Safety for Children’s Mercy Hospital, one of the largest children’s hospital in the nation. Ken was Safety Manager for giant freight carrier Federal Express. He has also worked intermittently as a safety consultant. Mr. McDaniel is an adjunct instructor for the Great Plains OSHA Training Institute Educational Center at the Metropolitan Community College Business & Technology Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He is also an Adjunct Professor at MCCKC providing instruction in EH&S courses, as well as the Master Safety Trainer for the Associated Builders & Contractor, Heart of America Chapter. Additionally, Ken has been an OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer for General Industry and Construction since 1994.
